Personnel who want SOFT certified education within rope access
You must be at least 20 years old to participate in the course. Additionally, a valid health certificate, not older than three years, must be presented at the beginning of the course. Candidates must also demonstrate fulfillment of at least one of the following requirements: A minimum of 600 hours of work in ropes, spread over at least three years; At least five years of experience as an instructor in mountain climbing courses in accordance with the standards of the Norwegian Mountain Sports Forum; Certification as a UIAGM-approved mountain guide; Membership and active participation in an alpine rescue group affiliated with the Norwegian Alpine Rescue Group (NARG).
In the theoretical training, you will gain fundamental knowledge of workplace environment regulations and equipment legislation. Throughout the course, we progressively build a deeper understanding of topics such as the Rope Access Technique system, protection levels, and risk comprehension.
In the practical training, you will learn to establish both simple and more complex rope access systems. You will also assist the Safety Leader in guiding Level 1 operators. Additionally, you will receive training in performing buddy rescue and rescuing individuals in complex situations.
